The Woman of My Dreams (and A Shock of A Lifetime.)

December 12, 2014 By MH Gideon 5 Comments

I attended a wedding last weekend and it was an amazing experience. It triggered so many thoughts in my head that sharing every one of them  would be too exhausting. One profound thought I’d love to share with you though is about the woman of my dreams.

I’ve seen many people write and give detailed descriptions about the woman they’ll love to have in their lives but aside the fact that I’ve always been attracted to ‘chubby’ ladies, I’ve never really had any such picture in my mind. Well, if you are still single and looking forward to getting married to the woman of your dreams, then pay close attention to every word in this article.

I have often heard people give detailed descriptions of the man or woman they dream of marrying; They often give descriptions like “he should be x feet tall, light complexioned, have a good command of English language, have a steady source of income, generous (by this they often mean leave his/her wallet at the mercy of their untamed desires), knows how to ‘take care’ of me, blah blah blah and more blah”

The only problem I have with that list is that it often describes a non-existent person.

The summary of their tale often goes thus; “if the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.”

While I often travel to my future, I have never really paid attention to the woman in that picture (I’m of the opinion that you pay attention to her.)

So I’m going to take one trip into my future to picture her closely this time (maybe even have a conversation with her)!

My Dream Wife…

Physically she looks amazingly gorgeous. Her looks would quickly make you realize the reason why Samuel although anointed almost missed the will of God when he went to anoint David as king of Israel.

She is smart, intelligent and full of wisdom and desiring more. A conversation with her quickly reminds you of the queen of Sheba and how she traveled all the way to hear Solomon’s wisdom – her bookshelf adorned with expensive books from great authors quickly revealed this.

I thought cooking and keeping the home organized were the only virtues she had aside from being sapiosexual but I was in for a shock…among the awards decorating the shelves for her selfless contributions to the betterment of the society she lived in, I couldn’t help but notice two unique ones; One was from her kids and the other from her husband. I was humbled to realize that she was not only a successful woman outside but she was an award winning mother to her kids and an award winning wife to her husband.

Something more striking about her was the fact that she loved God more than I could comprehend. Her communion with The Holy Spirit and consistent prayers for her family left me wondering what manner of woman she was… I still cannot exactly place her origin as she seems completely from out of this world.

I had barely savored the feeling of excitement that arouse from seeing my dream wife when I received the shock of my life – one that has become a drive for me.

The Shocker!

Just as I was about to leave my dream and part ways with my dream wife and allow her get on with living the dream life…Something striking happened. Something I would never forget in hurry.

I had thought she was smiling at me all the while until I turned to see the reason behind that smile that made even the sun jealous.

Here was a tall, dark skinned, well groomed young man in his early thirties with an accent that made my jaw drop in awe.

He looked like me, his voice didn’t seem much different from mine except that he had it way more polished than mine.

He uttered no words in a hurry and the wisdom that flowed from his lips was gratifying to the soul.

Oh!

I would have been just fine and at ease like any other young man if I hadn’t seen him just yet.

He was my dream man. The man I was to become.

A king.

Little wonder he had a queen for a wife.

The relational saying goes true… Like attracts like.

Discomfort at my present state. A sense of urgency. A need for aggressive growth.

These were now forces that ran through my whole system after seeing the woman of my dreams.

I found a key many people often seem to take lightly… The woman of your dream is married to the man of your dreams not you (at your current state.)

So if you remain at your current state, you might as well forget about her!

This realization stirred in me the need to take responsibility for my personal growth and change real fast.

So here’s what I have decided to do instead of spending the bulk of time fascinating about her; I’ll cut down on all time wasters and commit to personal growth and invest massively in developing myself.

I hope you will do the same too.

I’ll see you at the top the bottom is too crowded!

It’s your turn. Share with me about the man or woman of your dreams. Do you think he/she would marry you in your current state? Are you prepared?

Such a woman also have a man of her dream, of course not a just any man – she would dream of a greater-than-her. To achieve this woman of your dream, it’s safest for you to become more than her before meeting her.

Thank you Bro. Gideon for that daring peice. I celebrate you.

      You are absolutely right man.

That’s the cause of the unrest and realization of the need for aggressive growth.

Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
