You must have heard that readers are leaders – it’s true!
Some of the world’s greatest entrepreneurs reveal that the bulk of their time is spent reading – you should too if you’re even remotely hoping to join them someday.
I’ve found some books to be invaluable on my entrepreneurial journey and I want to share a few of those books with you today.
Book No. 1 – The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E Gerber
Have you ever worked at a job for someone else and felt like you could make more money and have more freedom doing the same thing for yourself?
You’d better read this book before you set out on a journey that you’d dread. While many people resign their jobs to work for themselves only to realize they don’t get the freedom they hoped for, this book shows you how to build a business that works for you so you don’t have to work.
Finally, someone tells the truth about really escaping the rat race and getting the freedom you truly deserve by building your own business.
Book No. 2 – The Midas Touch by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki
This book had the same effect on me as the previously mentioned one – I could hardly drop it the moment I picked it up to read.
These two business leaders go all out to share the brutally honest truth of entrepreneurship with you – the part you don’t want to hear about.
These book is a good read when it comes to instilling in you the right mindset to start and succeed in running your own business.
Go check it out.
Book No. 3 – Ideas Rule The World by Sam Adeyemi
Ideas are the starting point of any enterprise.
Ideas are seeds.
Where do ideas come from?
What do you do with them?
How do you translate ideas into physical reality?
Get in this book and you’ll be amazed at the things you’ll learn.
Book No. 4 – Start From Where You Are With What You Have by Praise George
This book is filled with stories of people who started out with the resources available to them and built their dreams from there.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time and resources to start your own business, then reading this book will give you a good push and possibly open your eyes to see creative ways you can take advantage of the resources within your reach to get started.
Book No.5 – Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
This book is a classic.
While the topic suggests that it’s a book on finance, reading it revealed a roadmap on how you can achieve the things you desire in your life – whether it is more money, happiness or whatever it may be.
I encourage you to read this book as soon as you decide what you want to accomplish because the mental preparations he gives here is invaluable in fulfilling your dreams and goals.
So there you have it from me – five books every entrepreneur who wants to start and succeed in business should read.
I’ll do a book review series to share some key lessons I learnt from each one of these books with you in the coming days.
